The Job…
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a genuinely hands on role spanning financial control, audit and compliance.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic partner in driving financial performance, shaping growth strategies, and ensuring compliance with Australian financial regulations
• Own the general ledger and oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month end/year end close
• Take full ownership of payroll across multiple countries 
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, identifying trends and opportunities for growth
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulatory bodies, banks and investors
• Oversee a small offshore team
• Provide the Board and investors with timely, accurate financial information and strategic recommendations

You…
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• CA or CPA qualifications with a solid understanding of reporting standards, tax environments, and regulatory frameworks across both Australia and the USA
• Experience managing an end to end payroll process
• A background in financial services or audit, with the ability to work closely and confidently with external auditors
• Comfort maintaining a hands on approach across all aspects of finance, from transactional accounts through to board level reporting
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage financial risks effectively
• The ability to upskill, lead, and guide a small overseas team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information clearly for internal and external stakeholders
