Press Weld

Position: Press Weld Operator
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour

Position Summary
Join our dynamic manufacturing team in Oberlin, OH, as a Press Weld Operator on the 1st Shift. We are looking for a dependable and motivated individual with experience in operating press weld equipment. The role requires maintaining quality standards and safely handling metal components. Candidates must have previous grinding experience and a commitment to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate press weld machines according to production specifications and safety standards.
• Load and unload metal components into welding fixtures.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and weld integrity.
• Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing of welded parts as required.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety guidelines.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating press weld equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Grinding experience is required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read measuring tools and inspect parts for quality.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, and bend.
• Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
