Senior Azure Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join a Federal Government department and play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge Azure cloud infrastructure. This role will see you working collaboratively with technical and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for critical applications and services.


Key Responsibilities 

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust application and service delivery.
• Implement and manage Azure resource groups, virtual networks, storage accounts, and security groups.
• Maintain compliance with Azure security and authentication requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise cloud infrastructure for performance and scalability.
• Monitor and maintain Azure resources in conjunction with operational teams.
• Document technical designs, procedures, and policies as required.

Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply 

• Extensive experience with Azure Compute solutions, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Data Lake, App Service Environments (ASEs), API Management, and containerised solutions.
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining Azure resources such as key vaults, contributor groups, and Access Control Lists
• Proficiency with Azure App Insights, Azure Monitor, and creating/managing CI/CD pipelines (YAML and classic build/release pipelines).
• Proven ability to deliver data-centric solutions using .NET, Entity Framework, Microsoft Web API/REST architecture, SQL, and Bootstrap.
• Experience developing Azure solutions within a Scrum/Agile methodology.
