Cyber Security Lead

e2 Cyber is exclusively partnering with ASC, Australia’s sovereign submarine builder and maintainer, to recruit a Cyber Security Team Lead focused on Security Operations and Blue Team leadership. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in protecting mission critical Defence systems within a highly secure environment.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Manager, you will lead day-to-day cyber operations, managing BAU security activities, internal team members and external vendors. This role is suited to someone who combines strong people leadership with a solid technical background across security operations in a Microsoft environment.

Location: Osborne, South Australia
Clearance: Must be eligible for NV2

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Cyber Security Operations including monitoring, detection and incident response
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts and engineers
• Oversee SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and identity security tooling
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and managed services
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, playbooks and operational maturity
• Ensure alignment with ACSC ISM, Essential Eight and broader compliance frameworks
• Support incident management, post-incident reviews and uplift initiatives

About You

• Proven experience leading a Security Operations or Blue Team function
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capability
• Hands-on background across SIEM, EDR and incident response
• Experience working within Microsoft environments (Defender, Sentinel, Azure preferred)
• Strong understanding of ISM, Essential Eight and secure environments
• Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for NV2 clearance
