SSIS Developer

We're looking for an experienced SSIS Developer to join a data migration project with our client who operates nationally. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll design, build, and deploy ETL packages that move and transform data from multiple source systems into a target SQL Server environment.

What you'll be doing
Working directly with client stakeholders and the broader project team, you'll take ownership of ETL development end-to-end, from package design through to performance tuning and production deployment. You'll troubleshoot integration issues, build robust error handling and logging, and write complex SQL to support transformation logic across a range of data sources including flat files, XML, Excel, and relational databases.

What we're looking for

• Proven hands-on experience with SSIS for ETL package design, development, and deployment
• Strong SQL Server skills including SQL Server 2025 features and architecture (vector search, Fabric integration, performance enhancements)
• Experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Experience working with varied source data formats (flat files, XML, Excel, relational databases)
• Solid understanding of performance tuning and optimisation for both SSIS packages and SQL queries
• Confident with error handling, logging, and debugging within SSIS
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

The role

• Hybrid | Brisbane-based
• 6 month contract engagement 
• Immediate start preferred
