Apply directNesco Resource is hiring for a 3rd shift Compounding Tech/Chemical Operator for our local Client in Hickory, NC
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
· Responsible for processing chemicals according to established batch records, formulas and/or experimental procedures through filters, dryers, pumps, reactors, tanks and evaporators
· Preparing, packaging and recording chemical products for shipment.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with chemical batches and/or plant equipment as needed.
· The operator will be required to operate a forklift from time to time.
· Maintain understanding of TSG's quality system and quality policy.
· Understands how to access QMS documents.
· Use in-house software and programs, such as Excel to perform job duties.
· Other tasks as directed by the Technical Supervisor
Good math skills
· Experience with Microsoft Excel & Word.
· Troubleshooting skills
· Good communication and documentation skills.
Work Environment
· Exposure to various chemicals and compounds.
Physical Demands
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
· Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the production floor
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior work experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
· A background in basic chemistry, math, and operating liquid process equipment
· Boilers
· Wastewater
· Hoisting
HSD or equivalent is Required
