About the role
Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join a well-established and growing organisation within the agriculture sector in a permanent, full time role. This is a diverse role offering exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, inventory support, grower administration, and general finance functions.
Working within a collaborative team environment, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations while contributing to process improvements and maintaining strong relationships with growers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Duties
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, reconciliations, debtor statements, and supplier payments
• Support daily bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with payroll processing when required
• Maintain supplier and grower records within accounting systems
• Respond to supplier and grower account enquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with value-add invoicing, rental invoicing, and month-end finance processes
Skills and Experience
• Recent experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or general accounting support functions
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a basic understanding of accounting principles
• Experience using ERP systems or accounting software highly regarded
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Business, or a related field is desirable
• Experience within agriculture, co-operatives, or fast-paced operational environments will be highly regarded
• Current driver’s licence required
