About the Position
This full-time position commences on 14 September 2026 and until the end of Term 4 only. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 7–10 and must be confident delivering Year 10 English Language, including supporting students to develop a stronger understanding of language structure, analysis and written communication. This role would suit an English specialist who can quickly establish classroom routines, confidently deliver the existing curriculum and contribute effectively within the English faculty.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging English lessons across Years 7–10 aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.

Confidently teach Year 10 English Language and support students with language analysis and written expression.

Maintain clear classroom expectations while supporting student wellbeing and safeguarding requirements.

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning and progress.

Collaborate with the English faculty to deliver existing curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements.
Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

Experience: Applicants must be confident teaching English through to Year 10, including Year 10 English Language.

Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
