Hire Control/Labourer

Our client operates a hire and shipping container business, and they're looking for a Hire Control/Labourer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of their operations, managing equipment and stock while supporting both the hire and container sides of the business. Based on an hourly rate of $37.98, this is an opportunity to develop skills across multiple areas of the business, from forklift operation to container customisation.

• Manage stock records and equipment movement across the hire yard, keeping everything organised and tracked
• Operate top loader forklifts and handle vehicle maintenance, collection, and delivery of parts and equipment
• Support container operations including cleaning, decal removal, and assisting with customisation work like window and air conditioner fitting

Preferred Requirements

• Current Manual Driver's Licence and proven experience operating top loader forklifts with High Risk certification
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams
• Comfortable using computers and tablets to maintain accurate stock records and manage data
• Practical hands-on ability, including cleaning, light maintenance on vehicles and equipment, and safe use of power tools
• Flexibility to assist across both hire and container operations as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

• Top Loader High Risk Forklift Licence (current and valid)
• Experience in a hire, logistics, or warehouse environment
• Willingness to learn new skills, including spray painting and container customisation techniques
