APS6 ICT Risk Governance Officer

Key criteria for success include:

• Demonstrated experience in risk management, governance or assurance within a government or similar complex environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate ICT risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into practical advice
• Experience in coordinating risk activities, maintaining risk registers, and preparing reports for senior governance forums
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams
• Knowledge of ICT, cyber security, or enterprise risk frameworks and standards
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to think strategically and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk management, ICT, or related fields
• Experience working with ICT risk and security frameworks such as ISM, PSPF, or PGPA Act
• Familiarity with government assurance and audit processes

Other requirements:

• Minimum NV1 security clearance, with NV2 preferred
• Based in Canberra with flexible work arrangements available; remote work is not an option
