Apply directFRS Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced C Licence Driver for a temporary position with an established building supplies company in Co. Roscommon.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of building materials to customers across the local area. This role would suit a professional and reliable driver with good knowledge of the surrounding area and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deliveries of building materials to customers throughout the Roscommon area
- Load and unload materials safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately, safely and within agreed time-frames
- Complete all relevant delivery documentation
- Carry out routine vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
- Ensure goods are handled and secured appropriately during transportation
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers
- Comply with all company policies, including health and safety requirements
- Work effectively with the warehouse and transport teams
- Carry out other duties associated with the role as required
Requirements
- Valid C Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a commercial driving role
- Previous experience delivering building materials would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Roscommon and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of carrying out loading and unloading duties
