Real Time Operations Analyst (Juno Beach, FL)

Location: Juno Beach, FL (Onsite)

Schedule: DuPont Schedule (12-hour rotating shifts)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (W2)

Pay Rate: $22.50 – $26.50/hr

Position Summary

Our client is a leading North American energy company with a diversified portfolio spanning power generation, transmission, and energy services. This role supports Senior Level Physical Real Time Desk traders and operators in overseeing the client’s generation fleet and third-party customer portfolios in real-time energy markets. The analyst is responsible for completing daily recurring shift tasks, maintaining situational awareness across multiple ISOs and RTOs, and ensuring accurate, timely information flow throughout each shift. Candidates with a combination of engineering knowledge and business acumen are particularly well-suited to this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Real Time Desk traders and operators in monitoring and managing generation fleet performance across real-time energy markets.
• Complete daily recurring shift tasks with accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of power generation economics and unit dispatch characteristics.
• Navigate ISO/RTO market portals across ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, SERC, SPP, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO, WECC, IESO, and AESO.
• Utilize transmission reservation and energy tagging systems as required.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders throughout each shift.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, real-time trading environment.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree completed or substantially completed, or equivalent professional experience; Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a generator operator, control centre, or energy markets environment preferred.
• Ability to work a 12-hour DuPont rotating shift schedule.

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with ISO/RTO market structures and protocols across multiple regions.
• Understanding of power generation economics and dispatch principles.
• Experience with transmission reservation and energy tagging systems.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader MS Office Suite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly under time pressure.
• Proven ability to follow established procedures and maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate effectively across a rotating shift schedule including nights and weekends.
