Maintenance Technician | 1st Shift | $25

Maintenance Technician Location: Grand Rapids, MI Shift: 1st Shift Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Pay: $25 per hour Service Area: Grand Rapids Job Summary Seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, troubleshoot issues, and support residential property maintenance. Must be able to work independently, communicate professionally, and determine when specialized contractors are needed. Personal vehicle and basic tools required. What you'll be doing • Diagnose and complete residential maintenance repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, structural, general building). • Identify when issues require licensed contractors and report recommendations. • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks. • Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units (patching, painting, flooring, fixtures, appliances). • Respond to tenant service requests and document all work performed. • Coordinate with contractors and provide access, oversight, and follow-up. • Protect properties by addressing leaks, moisture issues, drainage, heating/cooling concerns, and seasonal maintenance needs. • Maintain clean work areas and organized inventory of materials. • Track time, materials, repairs, and property conditions accurately. What we're looking for • Experience in residential or general maintenance preferred. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments. • Professional communication with residents and management. • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks. • Reliable vehicle and personal tools required.
