Foreman

Design & Build are seeking an experienced Foreman to join a Melbourne based builder specialising in high-end residential construction.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing business delivering architecturally designed townhouses, apartments and bespoke single dwellings, with projects typically valued up to $10m.

Working closely with the Project Management team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, coordinating trades, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that construction projects adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Create and manage project schedules, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet budgetary and timeline goals.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and labor usage.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Foreman within residential construction.
• Experience working on high-end townhouse, apartment or bespoke single dwelling projects valued $5m+. 
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and site coordination.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate trades.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and documentation.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
