Cox Purtell is currently working with a world-renowned, family-owned global leader in functional furniture fittings, who are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join their team as a Showroom Consultant. Role Overview:
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, as Showroom Consultant you would plan and deliver marketing and sales activities to grow the product range within their showroom market. It's a great fit for someone with an interest in design, CAD/CAM or architecture, including recent graduates or someone without formal qualifications, who is keen to bring that passion into a hands-on, customer-facing environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Customer Support:
- Responsible for greeting customers and supporting them through their visit at the Showroom.
- Responsible for answering incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Responsible for maintaining customer/visitor registration database.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers face-to-face through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
- Where required, support all staff in preparing for customer visits, trade events, or VIP customer visits.
- Attend and assist in representing the organisation at trade shows, exhibitions and special events as required.
- Responsible for follow up calls, communications and campaigns as required.
Administrative:
- Perform general administration duties as required within the role and in a timely fashion (maintaining files, records & documents).
- Ensure showroom and aligned state is well maintained including:
- Appearance, cleanliness and hygiene.
- Working order of displays and equipment.
- Building maintenance as per lease agreements.
- Ensure marketing material and brochures are readily available.
Planning:
- Through internal training and product knowledge, be competent in presenting specific topics to a variety of audiences.
- Utilise internal program to maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.
- Assist with new product release campaigns, functions and training programs as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Well-developed inter-personal skills.
- Solid organization skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Problem solving and time management skills.
- Effective verbal, presentation and listening communications skills.
- Effective written communications skills.
- Some exposure to design, CAD/CAM, architecture or a similar creative or technical field would be highly regarded, whether through study, work experience or personal interest. Recent graduates and candidates without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience/exposure to an internal sales environment particularly in relation to kitchen hardware would be highly regarded.
