About the Role
You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a modern fleet of heavy transport vehicles and trailers. You’ll also carry out COF inspections, diagnose faults, and play an important role in keeping essential transport operations running smoothly.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
- Conducting COF inspections and ensuring NZTA compliance
- Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Attending to breakdowns and urgent repairs when required
- Maintaining accurate service documentation and workshop standards
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics (or equivalent experience)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with heavy vehicles, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Class 4 licence (or willingness to obtain)
- A positive attitude, reliability, and pride in quality workmanship
- Competitive hourly rate of $40 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time, permanent stable position with plenty of variety - at least 40 hours plus overtime if you want it
