EmployMe is advertising on behalf of a busy, well-established workshop looking for an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join the team.

This is a hands-on role working across a range of small engines and outdoor power equipment. You’ll be part of a friendly, busy workshop where quality workmanship, reliability and getting the job done right are valued.

The role You’ll be responsible for:
  • Diagnosing, servicing and repairing small engines and equipment
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and scheduled servicing
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Keeping accurate job records and maintaining a tidy, safe workshop
  • Providing practical advice to customers when required
About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience as a small engine mechanic or in a similar mechanical role
  • Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Is confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Takes pride in producing quality workmanship
  • Is reliable, organised and safety conscious
  • Holds a full NZ driver licence, or is able to obtain one
Experience with chainsaws, ride-on mowers, generators, pumps or other outdoor power equipment would be an advantage.
