Training Systems Specialist / Training Coordinator

Position Summary

The Training Systems Specialist is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and administration of training systems that support manufacturing operations and related functional groups. This role develops, enhances, and maintains training programs, training system controls, and certification processes while ensuring compliance within a regulated quality environment. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and cross-functional projects that drive operational excellence and workforce development.


Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development & Administration

  • Develop and implement training systems by identifying organizational training needs and recommending effective learning solutions.
  • Coordinate, implement, and maintain manufacturing training programs and certification processes.
  • Support ongoing and recurring training for Manufacturing Training Assistants and operational personnel.
  • Identify training and knowledge gaps within manufacturing teams and recommend solutions to address deficiencies.
  • Introduce and implement training system upgrades, technologies, and process improvements to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Promote consistency across training systems and business processes throughout the organization.

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Maintain and enhance quality systems by identifying, investigating, and resolving issues within existing processes.
  • Utilize customer feedback, system data, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure training systems comply with company standards, quality requirements, and governmental regulations.
  • Analyze training and certification data to support audits, compliance initiatives, and business decision-making.

Systems Support & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot automated training systems and workflows by identifying root causes, implementing solutions, or coordinating with appropriate support teams.
  • Research and resolve system-related issues impacting training administration and compliance.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and system reliability.

Project Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Plan, organize, and manage complex projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Establish project priorities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead projects from concept through implementation and completion.
  • Solve complex business and operational challenges through analysis, creativity, and independent decision-making.
  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions that improve training effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Participate in and support global initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience supporting training systems, quality systems, manufacturing operations, or related business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, develop reports, and present findings and recommendations.
  • Experience working in a regulated quality environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently on highly complex assignments and projects.
  • Experience developing, modifying, or improving business processes and procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, and creativity when solving complex business challenges.
