About the Position

The school is seeking a Primary HPE Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2027. The successful applicant will deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs across the primary years, supporting students to develop movement skills, confidence, teamwork and an understanding of healthy lifestyles. The role may also involve contributing to school sporting events, carnivals and co-curricular activities.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Curriculum: Plan and deliver engaging Primary HPE lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and school requirements.
• Safeguarding: Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment during classroom and physical activities.
• Communication: Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues through clear and purposeful communication.
• Collaboration: Work closely with primary teaching teams and contribute to sporting events and co-curricular programs.
• Leadership: Promote participation, teamwork, resilience and positive sporting behaviour across the primary school.

Requirements

• Registration: Hold or be eligible to obtain Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory registration.
• Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are required.
• Qualifications: Hold a recognised teaching qualification and demonstrate the ability to teach Primary Health and Physical Education.
• Safeguarding: Provide two current professional referees and complete HARKE Recruitment’s safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
• Catholic Education: Be willing to support the values and educational mission of a Catholic school.
