About the Organisation:
This organisation is a large and complex ASX listed enterprise with a national footprint and significant international operations. It operates across highly regulated, multi site environments and has built a reputation for strong governance, sustainable practices and operational excellence.
With a global workforce, the business maintains a sophisticated approach to risk, compliance and assurance, supported by board level oversight and clearly defined governance frameworks.
Work, Health and Safety is a critical priority embedded across all operations, underpinned by robust systems, policies and reporting aligned to leading practice standards and regulatory expectations.
About the Role:
This contract opportunity has been created to provide specialist capability during a period of transition, ensuring continuity and uplift across health and safety reporting, governance and assurance processes. The role will take ownership of developing high quality WHS reporting for executive, board and committee audiences, transforming operational safety data into clear, meaningful insights that support informed decision making.
A key focus will be strengthening governance frameworks and assurance processes, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and expectations of a listed environment where directors must demonstrate due diligence in overseeing safety performance. This includes implementing robust validation processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability, and linking operational activity with executive oversight.
The role will also leverage a leading enterprise risk management system to manage incidents, risks, controls and performance data. This includes BAU cyclical reporting, system utilisation, improving data governance to provide real time insights to support both executive and board level oversight and decision making.
About You:
You are an experienced WHS professional with a strong track record operating in large, complex or listed environments. You bring proven capability in composing WHS executive and board level reporting, with a deep understanding of safety metrics, data interpretation and how to translate information into strategic insights.
You are comfortable working within governance frameworks and understand the due diligence obligations of officers and directors under WHS legislation. Your experience includes working with enterprise risk or WHS systems, where you have improved data quality, reporting capability and system adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
Highly analytical and detail oriented, you are able to work with complex data sets and present them in a clear and compelling manner for senior audiences. You have a pragmatic and collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. You are also comfortable operating autonomously in a contract environment, delivering outcomes at pace while maintaining a high standard of work.
Why Apply?
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high impact role within a complex and well governed organisation where health and safety is a strategic priority. You will gain exposure to executive and board level engagement, contribute to meaningful governance uplift, and play a key role in WHS reporting, assurance and system capability.
