Automotive Technician

Farmer Autovillage is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician, ideally with your WOF cert, to join its Service team based in Mount Maunganui.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Automotive Technician looking for a modern workshop, plenty of variety and an established dealership that invests in its people.

The Role

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing petrol, diesel and electric vehicles
  • Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical and electrical issues
  • Carrying out WOF inspections
  • Completing repairs and maintenance to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Working efficiently to meet agreed workshop timeframes
  • Identifying additional work required and communicating this through the Service team
  • Keeping accurate job card and repair information
  • Keeping up to date with new vehicle systems and technology through ongoing training

About You

  • 4+ years’ automotive trade experience
  • A relevant automotive qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A current WOF authority, or ideally working towards gaining this
  • A current full NZ driver licence
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • The existing right to live and work in New Zealand

Experience with European vehicles would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
