Apply directEMEA Recruitment is proud to partner with a fast-growing, private equity-backed software consolidator to appoint a Senior Financial Analyst (DACH) based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
This is an exciting, entrepreneurial opportunity to join a fast-paced software consolidator on a significant growth trajectory.
Reporting to the Finance Manager or designee, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner with colleagues to support high-quality software businesses across the group, playing a value-added role by using financial and other data to drive shareholder value.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst:
- Prepare timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets and KPIs for operating companies to drive growth and smart decision-making
- Perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work products, including reviewing GL postings for accuracy, monitoring revenue recognition and refining variance explanations in reporting
- Contribute to the operational performance of operating companies through budget-to-actuals analysis, portfolio benchmarking, operational revenue and expense analysis, and decision-support insights
- Partner with M&A colleagues to support the operational and financial integration of acquisitions
- Implement process improvement initiatives identified in M&A business cases
- Develop ad hoc reports and dashboards to help CEOs monitor their businesses
- Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote best practices and efficiency across the portfolio
- Provide financial advice and guidance to the business as requested
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance/accounting role
- Qualification or part-qualification from a recognized financial/accounting body
- Solid working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite, would be an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Highly motivated and energetic, with an interest in entrepreneurship, software and finance
- Fluent in German and English
