About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced, highly organised and commercially minded Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of our new warehouse facility.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build and shape a warehouse operation from the ground up.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in warehousing, stock management, order processing and logistics, while also having an interest and ability in using digital systems and technology to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
As Warehouse & Logistics Manager you will also take ownership of the warehouse environment, establish robust processes, introduce appropriate systems and controls, and create a professional, efficient and scalable operation.
This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys making things happen and wants to put their own stamp on a warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Management - Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse.
- Digital Systems & Warehouse Technology - Developing the digital capability of the warehouse while assessing and improving the systems currently used to manage warehouse operations.
- Stock Control & Inventory Management - Maintain accurate records of stock received, transferred, allocated and dispatched.
- Order Processing & Fulfilment - Manage the end-to-end warehouse order fulfilment process.
- New Warehouse Set-Up & Development - As we are moving into a new warehouse facility, the successful candidate will have a significant role in designing and establishing the operation.
- Team Management - Recruit, train and manage warehouse personnel as the operation develops.
- Health & Safety - Take responsibility for maintaining high health and safety standards within the warehouse while ensuring warehouse procedures comply with relevant legislation and company policies.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing or supervising a warehouse operation.
- Strong knowledge of stock control and inventory management.
- Experience with order processing, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Experience implementing or improving warehouse processes.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
- Experience working with ERP, inventory or warehouse management systems.
Desirable Experience
- Experience setting up or relocating a warehouse.
- Experience implementing a WMS or ERP system.
- Experience with barcode scanning or RFID.
- Experience integrating warehouse systems with sales, purchasing or accounting systems.
- Experience with agricultural, engineering, machinery, parts or technical products.
