Senior Supervisor / General Foreman | $250M Government Project | Sydney

Opportunity for a Senior Supervisor / General Foreman to join a leading Tier 2 builder delivering a landmark $250M government project in Sydney CBD..

Operating across commercial, education, health, residential and government sectors, this established Tier 2 builder has a strong track record delivering major and complex construction projects across NSW, with a secure pipeline of upcoming work.

The project involves the major redevelopment of an existing landmark building, including significant structural upgrades, complex refurbishment works, new and upgraded internal spaces and extensive public domain works.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Managing the subcontractors to ensure they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities
• Monitor subcontractor performance daily in regards to safety, quality and programme and report deficiencies to the Site Manager
• Assisting the Site Manager in the commissioning and handover of the project by ensuring all relevant documentation is completed 
• Managing cost control for certain aspects of the project, as directed by the Site Manager, in order to ensure the project meets its required performance targets in relation to budget

Desired experience:

• Trade background
• Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential 
• Proven experience as a Supervisor / Foreman working on new build construction projects in Sydney valued $100M+
• Proven experience of effectively managing a team including sub-contractors, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationships.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety
