We currently have an immediate need for a Product Data Manager to join the Revenue GPS Equities Performance Practice in New York. As a practice within our client’s Human Capital Solutions group, the Revenue GPS team collects data from leading banks / brokerage firms and delivers valuable market and positional analysis to support the account management process and management of a firm’s institutional equities platform. This position will be responsible for owning and developing client relationships with our clients’ data sourcing teams and working across the team to drive improvements to the datasets that are the foundation of our analysis and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
· Ownership of product data methodology for the Revenue GPS product
· Reviewing data collection definitions and guidelines for treatment of different equities products and establishing consensus to update or amend these via internal and external consultation
· Managing external client relationships with data sourcing teams at different banks/broker dealers
· Leading data improvement projects, working with external clients to review and improve accuracy and granularity of data submissions
· Answering internal and external queries relating to data
· Working with new clients to communicate data requirements
· Leading on establishing data requirements and methodology for new product buildouts
· Ownership of data integrity, governance, and validity
· Oversight of data proofing and validation processes across the team
· Oversight of institutional coverage and institutional mappings for the Revenue GPS product
Qualifications
· Bachelors and/or Masters in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or other relevant field of study
· Strong understanding of Equities including nuances of payment dynamics
· Ability to lead discussions on Equities commissions and payments with clients at different banks/broker dealers
· Knowledge of derivatives including Options, Futures, Swaps is a plus
· Experience at a Bank/Broker Dealer or at a Consulting firm that partnered with the sell-side
· Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues and clients at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources
· Data management and analytical skills – comfortable reviewing data and discussing with clients
· Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player
· Ability to think through and outline work processes in a thoughtful and detailed manner
· Excellent judgement, knows when to escalate complex issues to senior management
· Ability to work in fast paced environment collaboratively or autonomously as determined by dynamic projects and workload
· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
