ABOUT THE POSITION.

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join the Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with several years of Australian geotechnical experience who is ready to take greater ownership of projects and continue developing their technical and consulting capabilities. You will work across a diverse project portfolio, including residential, infrastructure and forensic geotechnical projects, with regular exposure to experienced senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.



DUTIES.

• Plan and undertake geotechnical site investigations, including fieldwork, sampling and data collection
• Prepare geotechnical reports, assessments and technical documentation
• Undertake geotechnical analysis including slope stability, retention systems and site classifications
• Develop ground models and provide technical interpretations
• Assist with the design and assessment of geotechnical solutions
• Provide construction support, inspections and project monitoring
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior engineers as you continue to develop your own project management skills

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
• Several years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience within the Australian market
• Solid understanding of geotechnical principles, site investigations and engineering analysis
• Experience across areas such as slope stability, retention, site classification and ground modelling
• Experience with software such as PLAXIS, gINT, Slope/W, Slide or similar geotechnical modelling tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when required
