About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior CIAM Software Engineer / Tech Lead to lead the hands-on delivery of a Consumer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) capability in a large, complex environment. You’ll be a technical leader who can build features, drive engineering best practice, solve hard integration problems, and mentor engineers to lift overall team capability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical implementation of CIAM solutions (hands-on delivery)
- Design solutions for complex CIAM challenges and integrations
- Build and maintain high-quality, maintainable code (incl. code reviews)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex implementation issues
- Support estimation, refinement, planning and delivery
- Mentor and upskill engineers; promote strong engineering practices
- Collaborate across teams to integrate CIAM with broader enterprise platforms
- Leverage modern approaches and emerging tech (including AI-assisted development) to improve productivity and quality
- With NV1 Clearance
- Advanced object-oriented programming with JavaScript & TypeScript
- Strong unit + integration testing experience (e.g., Jest)
- Extensive CIAM delivery experience, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Integration/customisation experience with CIAM products preferably Ping/ForgeRock
- Experience with Auth0 or Okta
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar)
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical uplift in a team
- Experience configuring/customising SaaS CIAM services
- Experience building/integrating microservices in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP)
