Our client is a large Australian organisation operating within a complex, highly regulated environment. With a geographically dispersed workforce and a strong operational focus, the organisation plays an important role within its sector and is committed to building organisational capability, strengthening leadership and fostering a high-performing culture. An opportunity now exists for an experienced General Manager People & Culture to join the team at an important stage in the organisation's evolution.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead an established People & Culture function and partner closely with the CEO, Board and Executive Leadership Team to deliver a contemporary people strategy aligned with the business objectives. With responsibility for employee and industrial relations, organisational development, talent acquisition, workforce capability and people operations, you will support leaders through a period of organisational change, build leadership capability, strengthen organisational culture and improve internal communication. You will also play an important role in continuing to evolve the People & Culture function through contemporary systems, processes and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced People & Culture leader with a demonstrated ability to lead within large, complex commercial organisations. You will have a proven track record of partnering with executive leadership teams to deliver strategic people outcomes while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach. You will be recognised as a collaborative and authentic leader with sound commercial judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to create confidence and stability throughout an organisation during periods of change and transformation.
You will bring strong employee and industrial relations capability, experience leading organisational change and the ability to influence, coach and build trusted relationships with leaders across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. Experience modernising People & Culture systems and processes and driving continuous improvement will be well regarded, along with exposure to Boards and Board Committees.
An attractive remuneration package, including performance incentives, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
