About the Role:
Our Federal Government client is seeking multiple Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineers / Senior Storage Engineers (Broadcom SAN/Fibre Channel | HPE | NetApp | Dell | Brocade | Veeam). This is a 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options, located onsite in Canberra (ACT).

As the selected candidate, you will:

• Design, deploy, configure, administer, tune and troubleshoot enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) switches and storage platforms.
• Support physical and virtual storage environments across large-scale ICT infrastructure.
• Contribute to the future direction of the department's storage and data platforms through emerging technologies.
• Produce high-quality design, build, operational and handover documentation.
• Share technical knowledge with team members and mentor junior engineers.
• Provide after-hours on-call support for infrastructure platforms as required.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• Demonstrated experience designing, administering, tuning and troubleshooting one or more of the following:
  • HPE 3PAR, Primera or Alletra Storage Systems
  • NetApp E-Series
  • Dell Data Domain
  • Brocade Fabric Switches
  • SANnav
  • Scality Artesca
• Experience producing design, build and operational documentation, including processes and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders, deliver presentations and coach team members.
• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Experience working within large, complex ICT environments.

It is desirable if you have:

• Experience supporting enterprise data centre and virtualisation environments.
• Knowledge of emerging storage technologies and modern data platform solutions.
• Previous experience working within a Federal Government ICT environment.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
