Design Manager – Engineering Projects Lead the delivery of major engineering projects and drive design excellence across a multidisciplinary team.
We are partnering with a well-established engineering and project delivery organisation seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design teams across large-scale capital projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and accountability for design delivery across multiple projects.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with established systems, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Driving performance across multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
- Managing resource planning, workload balancing and forecasting activities.
- Monitoring and reporting on project performance, utilisation and leadership metrics.
- Developing and embedding processes that promote alignment, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Fostering a culture of accountability, ownership and engineering excellence.
- A degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience within engineering design and project delivery environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on major capital projects.
- Strong understanding of EPC/EPCM project delivery methodologies and design processes.
- Experience with engineering design platforms and industry-standard software packages.
- Strong commercial acumen and an ability to balance technical, operational and business priorities.
- Experience using resource planning and project management systems.
- Senior leadership position with significant influence across project delivery.
