This role will suit a hands-on HSE Advisor with strong experience in mining, civil construction and infrastructure project delivery, ideally within operational mining and large-scale construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across site
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site procedures and project requirements
- Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace risk assessments
- Review and assess SWMS, JSAs and contractor safety documentation
- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and compliance documentation
- Deliver site inductions and support toolbox talks and safety meetings
- Provide practical HSE advice and support to supervisors, contractors and workers
- Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management and spill response
- Track and report HSE performance metrics and compliance activities
- Support emergency response planning and site preparedness
- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders to drive safe work practices across the project
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within mining, civil construction, resources or major infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting site audits, inspections, investigations and safety reporting
- Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the workforce
- Confident reviewing SWMS, JSAs and contractor safety documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Current White Card
- Current Driver's Licence
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)
- Able to work autonomously and hit the ground running with minimal supervision
- Salary starting at $120,000 per annum
