About the Role:
The Data Platforms & Applications Manager is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing operation of enterprise data platforms, analytics applications, and reporting solutions across a complex environment.
You will oversee the Snowflake data platform and Qlik analytics suite, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions that deliver trusted insights to the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders and third‑party vendors, you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery.

What You Will Do:
Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders across retail, operations, and commercial functions.
Translate business requirements into scalable data platform and analytics solutions.
Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external specialist vendors.
Ensure delivery aligns with business priorities and operational needs.
Data Platform & Applications Management
Own and evolve the enterprise data platform, with a focus on Snowflake architecture and optimisation.
Oversee the delivery and support of analytics and reporting solutions using Qlik (Qlik Sense/Qlik Cloud).
Ensure data platforms and applications are scalable, performant, secure, and aligned to business needs.
Drive continuous improvement of platform capabilities and data accessibility.
Vendor & Delivery Management
Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and delivery partners to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Balance internal capability with external expertise to optimise delivery efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Support
Ensure reliable day‑to‑day operation of data platforms and analytics applications.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning across platforms.
Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
Data Governance & Best Practice
Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards.
Promote best practices across data modelling, reporting, and analytics delivery.
