Due to continued growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced and motivated Mechanic to join their highly regarded workshop team.

About the Role

As a Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's reputation for outstanding service and technical excellence. Working on a wide range of commercial lawn mowers, utility vehicles, turf equipment and specialised grounds maintenance machinery, you will diagnose, service and repair equipment to the highest standard while delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
This is far more than a workshop role. You'll work closely with the sales, hire and parts departments to ensure customers receive timely, professional service while helping maximise workshop efficiency and profitability.
The successful candidate will be proactive, take ownership of their work and pride themselves on delivering quality repairs that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service and repair commercial turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Plan and prioritise daily workshop activities to meet customer commitments.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong productivity targets.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales, hire and parts teams to provide seamless customer service.
  • Communicate repair requirements, timelines and recommendations clearly with customers and colleagues.
  • Assist with spare parts management, stock control and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Contribute to workshop profitability through efficient labour utilisation and effective repair planning.
  • Support a positive team culture by assisting colleagues and contributing across the broader business where required.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:
  • Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Technician, Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • Experience servicing and repairing commercial outdoor power equipment, turf machinery, agricultural, construction or mobile plant equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Sound mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience working within a busy workshop environment.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
  • A current driver's licence (essential).
