Data Specialist

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a large construction company to recruit a Data Specialist for its team in Utrecht, Netherlands

In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance, IT, and business, playing a central part in building and maturing data governance across the organization.

We're seeking someone who thrives on bringing structure to complexity and is energized by improving data quality, with an ability to bring stakeholders on the journey and switch comfortably between business and IT.

Responsibilities of the Data Specialist:

• Establishing and implementing a data governance framework with a focus on data quality, compliance, and stewardship
• Defining and rolling out data standards and metadata models in collaboration with Business Process Owners and IT
• Safeguarding data integrity and traceability across the full data lifecycle
• Carrying out data audits and quality analysis to drive continuous improvement
• Supporting the implementation of digital tools and AI-driven solutions for data capture and validation

Requirements:

• A completed Master's degree in Data Science or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in data governance or as a data steward
• Experience with ERP implementations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders
• A genuine passion for data, quality, and innovation
• Fluent in English and Dutch
