The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Change & IT Service Management to join a high-performing team and play a key role in strengthening IT change governance across a large Australian organisation.

This is an opportunity for a BA who goes beyond documenting requirements. You’ll be driving change, managing governance, facilitating CAB, challenging risk and bringing stakeholders together to ensure changes are delivered safely and effectively.

You’ll work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leaders, helping establish strong change practices and supporting the development of a Regional Advisory Board across the Australian business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and coordinate the IT Change Management process from assessment through to approval and implementation.
• Lead and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
• Review change requests, assess risk and impact, challenge proposed changes and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Develop and support a Regional Advisory Board within the Australian business.
• Work with stakeholders across all levels to understand requirements, manage expectations and build consensus.
• Identify opportunities to improve change governance, processes and controls.
• Elicit, analyse and document business requirements and process workflows.
• Manage changing requirements and scope while balancing business needs and delivery capabilities.
• Support training and adoption for applications, systems and processes.
• Contribute across Incident and Problem Management activities where required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong IT Service Management knowledge with excellent BA and stakeholder skills.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, IT Service Management or a related discipline.
• Strong practical experience with ITIL Change Management.
• Demonstrated experience driving and governing IT change, not simply participating in projects.
• Proven experience facilitating or managing CAB and change approval processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow, particularly Change Management.
• Strong understanding of ITSM governance, risk and service management.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and consensus-building capability.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping and business process improvement.
• Exposure to Incident and Problem Management is highly desirable.
• ERP experience would be advantageous.

The Person We’re Looking For

You’ll be a confident and credible BA who can work comfortably with everyone from technical specialists through to senior business stakeholders.

You’ll know when to challenge, when to facilitate and when to bring people together. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, particularly as you’ll be working with end users and stakeholders across regional Australian environments.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes ownership, drives outcomes and genuinely understands how effective change governance protects the business and its customers.
