Supply Chain Manager

EMEA Recruitment is supporting a global manufacturing company in the search for a Supply Chain Manager to join its production facility in Porto, Portugal.

This key site leadership role is responsible for driving service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain - from order management and planning to procurement, logistics, and team development.

Key responsibilities as Supply Chain Manager include:

• Lead all Supply Chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure on-time, in-full delivery performance
• Oversee inventory and capacity planning, balancing demand with optimal cost and efficiency
• Manage supplier performance and identify opportunities for sourcing and process improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Develop and mentor the local Supply Chain team, fostering collaboration and accountability
• Deliver regular performance reports and KPIs to track efficiency, service, and cost optimization

The ideal candidate:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in a production or FMCG supply chain environment, with proven leadership ability
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SAP and Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
• Proactive mindset with a focus on results, efficiency, and process optimization
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages are an advantage
