About the Role

The Human Resources Manager will play a central role in managing HR operations, overseeing talent acquisition, and implementing HR systems that support the company's rapid expansion. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee development, organizational planning, and labor management. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, working to ensure that the HR strategy aligns with the broader business goals, especially as the company scales its workforce from 50 to 100 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including for engineering, sales, and high-level management positions.
  • Design and implement HR systems, focusing on talent development, HR planning, and organizational development.
  • Manage workforce planning, including budgeting, resource allocation, and team structuring to support company growth.
  • Oversee labor management, addressing legal compliance and labor-related challenges, including preparations for potential IPO activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR and labor team, ensuring operational excellence across all HR functions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial HR role.
  • Over 5 years of experience in talent acquisition across multiple functions, with a focus on engineering.
  • Strong background in developing, implementing, and improving HR systems.
  • Knowledge of labor management practices and employment laws.
  • Native level Japanese and working experience in Japan

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of HR experience, ideally in a startup or pre-IPO company.
  • Proficiency in business-level English and experience in managing international teams.
  • Experience with HRMS implementation and HR analytics.
