HR Executive

I am recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HR Executive to join their HR team, supporting two sites across Westport and Clifden.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees across the business, providing day-to-day HR guidance and support across employee relations, recruitment, performance management, payroll and HR administration.

3 days per week in Westport
2 days per week in Clifden

Salary: €38,000–€40,000
Expenses: Business-related expenses covered

The Role

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for your assigned sites, developing strong working relationships with management and employees and providing practical HR advice and support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with line managers to provide day-to-day HR guidance and support.
• Acting as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing advice and support in line with employment legislation and company policies.
• Managing and supporting disciplinary, grievance and capability processes where appropriate.
• Advising managers on employment legislation, HR policies and best practice.
• Supporting performance management and employee development initiatives.
• Assisting with internal and external recruitment activities.
• Ensuring contracts of employment and HR documentation are issued and maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
• Preparing weekly payroll using Sage across multiple stores.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
• Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure a consistent and high-quality HR service.
• Supporting and leading HR projects as required.
• Building strong working relationships with managers and employees across both locations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• A third-level qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Advisory, HR Generalist or similar role.
• A strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
• Experience dealing with employee relations matters.
• Excellent understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of an HR team.
• CIPD membership/qualification.
• A flexible approach and the ability to work across both Westport and Clifden.
