About the Role

The school is seeking a Humanities Teacher with VCE Business Management experience to join its secondary team from Term 1, 2027.

The successful teacher will deliver Humanities across the secondary years, with VCE Business Management forming an important part of the teaching load. The school is looking for someone with strong subject knowledge who can confidently support senior students through their VCE studies.

The successful candidate will initially be offered a fixed-term contract through to the end of the 2027 school year. There is potential for renewal and permanency thereafter, subject to suitability and performance.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons across the secondary years.

• Teach VCE Business Management and support students through their senior studies.

• Develop students’ critical thinking, analysis and understanding of contemporary business concepts.

• Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback to support academic progress.

• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

• Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain VIT

• Relevant secondary teaching qualifications

• Experience and confidence teaching VCE Business Management

• Ability to teach Humanities across junior and middle secondary year levels

• Strong classroom management and ability to build positive relationships with students

• Willingness to respect and support the Islamic ethos and values of the school

• Full Australian working rights

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
