Job Title: Packaging Operator
Location: Webster, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring dependable and motivated Packaging Operator to join a world-class beverage manufacturing facility in Webster, NY. This direct hire opportunity, where you'll valuable hands-on experience producing high-quality product using state-of-the-art equipment in a cleanroom environment. Shift:

  • Overnight Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12-Hour Shifts)
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-Hour Shifts)
  • Rotating Schedule: 2 Days On, 2 Days Off - Alternating Weekends Off
    • Example:
      • Week 1: Sun (Off), Mon–Tues (On), Wed–Thurs (Off), Fri–Sat (On) = 48 Hours
      • Week 2: Sun (On), Mon–Tues (Off), Wed–Thurs (On), Fri–Sat (Off) = 36 Hours

Pay: A shift $24-$25 B shift $26-$27 (includes shift premium)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety policies, work procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Safely operate various forklifts to move and stage materials or waste
  • Clean and sort used materials in an organized manner as part of daily operations
  • Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) guidelines for raw materials and inventory
  • Ensure materials are stored properly, paperwork is completed accurately, and system documentation is updated on time
  • Communicate regularly with the supervisor and filler operator regarding inventory status and potential risks to production
  • Store inventory in designated, labeled areas and maintain an 18-inch clearance from walls; notify management if space is insufficient
  • Keep packaging infeed areas clean, organized, and free of debris; maintain audit-ready conditions at all times
  • Learn to operate downstream packaging, processing, or palletizing equipment as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and escalate when necessary
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to operate equipment effectively after training
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication

Food Safety Requirements:

  • Report any issues that may impact product quality or food safety
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Take action to prevent food safety or quality issues
  • Identify and document concerns related to materials, processes, or systems
  • Stop or control processing or use of nonconforming product until resolved

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying up to 60 pounds, with team lifting required for items over 100 pounds.
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping include pushing and pulling materials such as pallets and pipe fittings.
  • Squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, turning under equipment and connecting or serving equipment.
  • Climbing, balancing, reaching of stairs or ladders is required
  • Hand use and dexterity for operating equipment, connecting fittings, and performing cleaning duties.
  • Work conditions may include exposure to ambient and elevated temperatures (up to approximately 110°F) due to equipment operation and sanitation processes.
