Position: Director of Pharmacy plus PIC

Skills required: Inpatient experience, 3+ years of management experience, Multitasker

California pharmacist licensure required

Dates of Coverage needed: Start November 2nd and cover until perm hired (outgoing DOP’s last day 11/4/26)

Coverage Hours needed: 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm plus on-call weekly Mon-Thurs and first & last weekend of each month

No weekend coverage needed

Order Entry System: Cerner, experience preferred
Site Automation: Omnicell, experience preferred
Site Specialty Areas: Acute Behavioral Health Hospital
Staff Size: 1 FT Pharmacist, 1 part-time Tech (works 4 hours x 2 days/week)
Tech support: Answers phone calls, bubble pack, prepare meds to replenish Omnicell fill, monthly unit inspection especially for expired meds
Site Background/History:

  • Last JC visit: Nov 2025 CIHQ
  • Nursing turnover
  • Glendora Hospital has been planning to expand additional 100 beds
  • Staff Pharmacist is resourceful
  • Sister hospital, College Medical Center in Long Beach, assists remotely during after-hours, weekends, and holidays when pharmacy is physically closed

Job Responsibilities: staffing, scheduling, on-call, meetings, med error/ADR investigation and documentation submission, submit AmerisourceBergen orders, submit LAI replacement orders, and maintain regulatory compliance
Expectations:

  • Communicate via email, TigerConnect & Teams with direct report and CPS Resource
  • Keep operations smooth

2-3 days of training will be provided with outgoing DOP
Nearest Airport: Ontario International Airport

Dress Code: Professional casual or any color scrubs

Credentials required prior to start:

  • Background check
  • Drug screen
  • CA Pharmacist license
  • Glendora Hospital Code of conduct Agreements
  • Step 1 and 2 TB
  • N95 Fit test
  • Recent titers or vaccination proof for MMR, Tdap, Hep B, and Varicella
  • Proof of Flu Vaccine
