Senior Accountant

EMEA Recruitment is proud to assist a fast-paced, industry-leading organization in its search for a Senior Accountant as it continues to grow through increased demand.

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be part of a growing team and have varied responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical Accounting expertise, solid SAP experience, and demonstrable foreign exchange (FX) knowledge. 

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Handle balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Support statutory and management reporting requirements
• Monitor and account for FX transactions and revaluations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, Accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with other Finance and operational teams across the business
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as required
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the Finance function

Candidate profile:

• 5-10 years’ experience in General Ledger Accounting
• Strong technical Accounting knowledge with hands-on GL experience
• Demonstrable experience managing FX Accounting/exposure
• Previous experience using SAP is essential
• Experience within oil & gas, energy, commodities, or a similar international industry preferred
• Fluent English is essential - French language skills would be advantageous, but are not mandatory
• Based in or within commuting distance of Geneva
• Comfortable working in an office-based environment 4-5 days per week
