Position
As the HSE Manager, you will be a key member of the site leadership team, partnering closely with the Site Manager to lead safety, health and environmental strategy while driving a proactive, zero-harm culture. This hands-on leadership role combines strategic thinking with a strong operational presence, providing coaching to leaders, improving behaviours and management systems, leading risk management and incident investigations, ensuring ISO and legislative compliance, and delivering continuous improvement across SHE performance.
This role requires an influential leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse, unionised workforce while championing continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety required or equivalent.
- Experience in driving health, safety, environment across a diverse complex organisation.
- Must have operational safety experience with a practical approach and strong knowledge of legislative requirements in safety and chain of responsibility.
- Demonstrated change management skills through the use of systems improvement and engaging with stakeholders.
- Foster a positive safety culture and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into business operations.
- Preferable experience influencing within a unionised environment.
