Required Skills:
- BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent with a strong understanding of GAAP
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or accounting roles, preferably in tech or SaaS industries
- Proficiency with NetSuite and MS Office Suite, including Excel functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining complex accounting topics clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize competing deadlines
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude) to streamline workflows
- Background in technical accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, or allocations
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal controls
- Exposure to audit processes and preparing audit schedules
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, including exposure to SaaS environments
- Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred
Other Requirements:
- Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA) – 3 days/week in-office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday); initial remote work may be considered for 2 days/week
- Availability to start ASAP; onboarding typically completed within one week
- This position is a 2-3 month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role
- A passion for continuous learning and process improvement is a plus
Interview Process:
- Two-round interview: first with the Hiring Manager, followed by a discussion with the Director
