- A leading public-sector organization is seeking a Business Analyst III to provide technical and business analysis support across one or more concurrent technology projects.
- The Business Analyst will lead meetings and requirements-gathering activities, analyze business operations and technology needs, coordinate user acceptance testing, and work with technical teams to identify and resolve software defects.
- The role requires an experienced professional who can work independently with minimal supervision while managing deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- Lead meetings to understand and document business operations, systems, and user needs.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Coordinate defect resolution with technical leads and project teams.
- Support multiple technology projects concurrently.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and collaborative work sessions with cross-functional teams.
Candidates must meet or exceed all minimum requirements below.
- 8 years: Planning, leading, gathering, and analyzing business and functional requirements in cooperation with business and technical teams.
- 8 years: Developing business process maps and performing fit-gap analyses.
- 8 years: Solving complex problems and troubleshooting software systems.
- 8 years: Collecting requirements simultaneously across multiple program areas with varying business needs.
- 8 years: Gathering, documenting, and capturing design requirements.
- 8 years: Developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
- 8 years: Facilitating workshops, meetings, and collaborative work sessions with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- 8 years: Preparing and executing test plans; leading or assisting team members with testing activities; documenting and communicating testing results.
- 8 years: Implementing and testing interfaces that exchange data with large, complex legacy systems.
- 8 years: Assisting with development of plans and work artifacts supporting the Project Management Life Cycle.
- 8 years: Experience with SDLC management tools, such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or Atlassian.
- 8 years: Experience with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL).
- 4+ years: Experience working with state government organizations or programs.
- Primarily remote.
- Must have a secure, dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.
- Must be available for regular meetings and collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other business applications.
- Occasional onsite work in Austin, Texas may be required with 72 hours' notice.
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
