We are recruiting now for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience and an interest in working with older adults. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a well-established team of mental health professionals at a Community Mental Health Service for Older People in New Zealand’s largest city.
The community team provides a range of assessment and recovery focused treatment options for older adults experiencing serious mental health issues and psychiatric complications of neurodegenerative disorders.As part of this multidisciplinary teamyou will be working collaboratively to optimise the function and wellness of older adults with the aim of supporting them to continue to live as independently and meaningfully as possible.
As an enthusiastic and proactive Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have excellent assessment and management skills, and be recovery focused. Working collaboratively with our service users and their families/whanau, you will join an an established and dynamic team, providing a high level of clinical care in a supportive, safe and caring environment. There is excellent professional support and a commitment to continued medical education.

Applicants should be/or eligible for vocational registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand and should preferably have FRANZCP or equivalent.
