We have an exciting opening for a Consultant Psychiatrist looking for a rural, farm, or beach lifestyle opportunity, living and working in the Northern regions of New Zealand. This position would involve both conducting community clinics, and also clinical input into the Sub-Acute Unit.
You will join a well-established team of mental health professionals working with a rural demographic. The position is based within a wider Mental Health Services, which encompasses the whole of the North from around Wellsford to North Cape. Inpatient services are available from the larger service in Whangarei, and peer support from colleagues in Whangarei, Kaikohe, Kerikeri and Kaitaia.
Applicants should be eligible for or be able to work towards vocational registration as Specialist Psychiatrists with the Medical Council of New Zealand and should preferably have FRANZCP.
