About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced C3 Architect to support the design, development, and governance of complex communications and information system capabilities within a highly secure environment. This role will focus on developing architecture solutions, supporting systems engineering activities, and ensuring interoperability across large-scale programs.
Working with a broad range of stakeholders, you will translate operational requirements into technical architectures and provide expert guidance on capability development, integration, and architecture governance.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain architecture products, models, and technical documentation.
- Translate operational requirements into system architectures and solution designs.
- Support capability definition, requirements analysis, and systems engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with architecture frameworks, interoperability standards, and governance processes.
- Conduct architecture assessments, technical reviews, and trade studies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, and industry partners.
- Support integration, verification, validation, and testing activities.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic architecture advice.
To be successful in this role, you will possess significant experience delivering architecture and systems engineering outcomes within complex, highly regulated environments.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience within government, coalition, multinational, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong background in C3, C4ISR, Command and Control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, or situational awareness systems.
- Experience applying architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF, DoDAF, MODAF, or equivalent.
- Proven systems engineering experience across requirements development, solution design, integration, and verification.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience supporting complex acquisition or capability development programs.
- Current NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance.
- Experience with MBSE and SysML.
- Proficiency with architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo, or similar.
- Experience working within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
- Exposure to multinational interoperability initiatives.
- Relevant architecture or systems engineering certifications.
- Initial 12-month contract with extension potential.
- Canberra-based onsite role.
