Fraser Coast Region, QLD | Hybrid | 20-Month Contract
We’re partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to appoint a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to support the construction of a large-scale solar and battery storage project in the Fraser Coast region.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role where you’ll be the key connector between the project and the local community—ensuring transparent communication, strong stakeholder relationships, and positive project outcomes.
The Role
Working closely with the project and construction teams, you will lead engagement activities throughout the construction phase, building trust and maintaining strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders.

We’re partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to appoint a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer to support the construction of a large-scale solar and battery storage project in the Fraser Coast region.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role where you’ll be the key connector between the project and the local community—ensuring transparent communication, strong stakeholder relationships, and positive project outcomes.
The Role
Working closely with the project and construction teams, you will lead engagement activities throughout the construction phase, building trust and maintaining strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering the project’s community engagement and benefit-sharing initiatives
- Building and maintaining relationships with landholders, community groups, Traditional Owners, councils and local stakeholders
- Managing community enquiries and resolving issues professionally and efficiently
- Coordinating community meetings, briefings and engagement activities
- Monitoring community sentiment and identifying risks or opportunities
- Maintaining accurate engagement records and preparing reports and communications
- Supporting broader renewable energy projects across the region
About You
You are an experienced engagement or communications professional who thrives in regional environments and enjoys working closely with diverse stakeholder groups.
You bring:
- Experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications or similar
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment
- A solutions-focused mindset with strong conflict resolution skills
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Highly regarded:
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of the Fraser Coast region or regional communities
- Experience working with landholders or Traditional Owners
