Payroll Officer

If you're an experienced Payroll Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative payroll team within a well-established national organisation.

Due to continued growth, an additional Payroll Officer is being added to the team, giving you the opportunity to work alongside experienced payroll professionals while managing payroll processing for a large, dynamic workforce.

About the Role

Working as part of a close-knit team of three, you'll play a key role in the end-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls for approximately 1,000 employees. You'll be responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering a high level of customer service to both internal stakeholders and employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
• Processing and validating timesheets
• Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and managers
• Payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Superannuation administration
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
• Assisting with payroll compliance and legislative requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes
• Working collaboratively with the broader payroll team to meet payroll deadlines

Working Hours

• Monday & Tuesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm

About You

To be successful, you'll have previous experience processing end-to-end payroll and be confident managing high-volume workloads while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

You'll also bring:

• Previous experience in a Payroll Officer position
• Experience processing high-volume payrolls
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation and payroll compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• A proactive, customer-focused approach
• The ability to prioritise competing deadlines within a team environment
